There are many names for the King Salmon, such as the Chinook Salmon, Quinnat Salmon, Spring Salmon, and Tyee Salmon. The average Chinook Salmon Size is larger than all other salmon species, and have been known to weigh between 10-50 lbs each. On record, the largest King Salmon Alaska has ever seen weighed 97 lbs! Wild King Salmon can be found in many regions of the Pacific, ranging from the most northern parts of Alaska amp; Russia, and have also been introduced to regions around New Zealand, Patagonia, and even the American Great Lakes! The best though is known to be Alaskan King Salmon. Alaska Chinook Salmon meat is highly prized and by many connoisseurs is considered to be the best salmon you can buy! Due to this many companies make a huge deal about fresh king salmon, and will often inflate their king salmon price to around $70 per pound, especially for the first king salmon of the season.
